Eurovisión 2014 - Reino Unido: Molly Smitten-Downes canta "Children of the Universe" en la final de Eurovisión 2014

Molly Smitten-Downes ha devuelto a Reino Unido la ilusión por el Festival de Eurovisión con "Children of the universe", un himno al amor y la unidad con el que representará a su país en Copenhague. 

Nacida en Leicestershire el 2 de abril de 1987, Molly ha sido elegida directamente por la BBC para participar en Eurovisión, sin galas de selección previas. La radiotelevisión británica la descubrió en 2014 a través una iniciativa para que jóvenes artistas pudieran hacer llegar sus canciones a BBC Radio.

Molly aceptó el reto eurovisivo y trabajó duro hasta dar con un gran tema para el Festival, tal y como explica la cantante: "necesitábamos un gran concepto. No solo una canción bonita, sino un tema que fuera un gran himno". La cantante ahora solo espera que su "Children of the universe" conecte con toda Europa.

Molly ha compuesto "Children of the universe" junto al productor sueco Anders Hansson. El tema mezcla sonidos de cuerda y armonías sobre una potente base de percusión que refuerzan el mensaje de amor y unidad que defiende la canción.
