Eurovisión 2014 - San Marino: Valentina Monetta canta "Maybe (Forse)" en la final de Eurovisión 2014

La televisión de San Marino (SMTV) anunció el pasado mes de junio que Valentina Monetta representará a la Serenissima Repubblica por tercera vez consecutiva en el Festival de Eurovisión. Lo hará con la canción "Maybe (Forse)", un tema con el que la cantante se propone llegar por primera vez a la gran final del Festival, ya que en 2012 (con la canción "The social network song") y Eurovisión 2013 (con "Crisalide") no logró pasar de semifinales. 

Valentina Monetta nació en la República de San Marino. En su infancia descubrió el amor por la música escuchando grupos musicales de estilos completamente distintos y, consiguiendo así, crearse una identidad única. Se graduó en la escuela de artes Giovanni da Rimini, en Rimini. Aun no teniendo una formación académica, estudió piano y canto por sí misma.

A partir de 1995, trabajó con los mejores artistas locales y terminó por convertirse en una cantante muy versátil con un gran talento para la improvisación. Esta versatilidad también se ve reflejada en otras facetas de su vida ejerciendo también como actriz, presentadora y compositora. Actualmente, forma parte de la banda My Funky Valentine.
