    Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar announces that actress Penelope Cruz won the "Goya" prize for best actress January 23. Cruz won the award for her role in the film "La Nina de tus ojos" (The girl of your eyes), directed by Fernando Trueba. The Goya prizes are the most prestigious awards in the Spanish film industry and aare locally known as the "Spanish Oscars".
