Corigliano Calabro (Italy), 03/01/2015.- Italian police looks at migrants aboard the cargo ship 'Ezadeen' after the vessel arrived in the southern Italian port of Corigliano, Italy, 03 January 2015 morning. About 450 refugees arrived late 02 January in the southern Italian port town on board the ship that had been abandoned by human traffickers in the Mediterranean Sea. The refugees, mostly from Syria, were aboard the nearly 50-year-old freighter that was designed for livestock transport under the flag of Sierra Leone. Many suffered from hypothermia. Italian coastguards have narrowly prevented two disasters this week off the country's southern coast involving so-called "ghost ships", which seem to have originated in Turkey.
