Dawson assistant to British painter Freud looks his photograph of Freud during an interview at Sigmund Freud museum in Vienna

David Dawson, who worked with British painter Lucian Freud at Freud's studio and home for over 20 years, looks at one of his photographs of the artist during an interview with Reuters at the Sigmund Freud museum in Vienna October 7, 2013. Lucian Freud did not live to see the first exhibition of his paintings in Vienna, the city his grandfather Sigmund fled in 1938, but he helped plan the retrospective that opens this week at the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Historic Arts). After refusing numerous invitations from German and Austrian galleries for decades, the German-born British figurative artist, who moved with his family from Berlin to London to escape the rise of Nazism, agreed to the show of 43 carefully chosen works. The photographs by Dawson are currently on show, in conjunction with the exhibition of Freud's paintings. REUTERS/Heinz-Peter Bader (AUSTRIA - Tags: ENTERTAINMENT SOCIETY)
