The 'supermoon' is set to fill sky on 23 June and will look 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal, which is the closest approach to Earth. This full moon is the closest and largest full moon of the year. It also presents the moon'Äôs closest encounter with Earth for all of 2013. The moon will not be so close again until 10 August 2014.
