The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived.

It's day one of the biggest, craziest tournament ever!

and I'm joined in the booth with none other than

the person who brought us here, V!

-Thank you! I'm excited to find out which clan is the best of the best!

-The energy in here is electric!

Everyone is amped up and ready to watch some brawls!

And the two brawlers lucky enough to kick off this tournament are...

The Oak from the Mammal Clan!

And the Insect Clan's Function!

-Once again, I would like to go over

how this week's preliminary brawls will work.

The tournament will span four weeks.

This week starts with three brawlers from each of the seven clans.

That's 21 brawlers in total.

They will each compete in six brawls,

facing opponents from all of the various clans.

The top eight brawlers will move on to next week's play-off round.

Okay, math time over.

-The obstacle course will be randomly selected

from one of the two opposing clans.

-That means Bakugan and brawlers must tailor their styles

and be able to adjust on the fly.

-A phantom BAM. One of my new creations.

It adds to Bakugan's defensive capabilities

in a very unique way.

-Could this be a chance at a comeback?

Hm... seems like this V guy has some tricks up his sleeve.

And the Clans are really stepping up.

Making it all the way to the top might be harder than we thought.

The Aquatic Clan's Rip and Razor

have completely submerged their opponent!

They have won their first match!

-(cheering)

-Hey, those are the same guys you're taking on tomorrow, right?

-Yup, and I can hardly wait.

I lost to them last time, but at least I got my revenge.

Still, I'm looking forward to stepping up

and taking them down in a brawl.

-We should practice just in case. Let's all of us pitch in and help.

He's probably off sulking

because he doesn't get to brawl in the tournament.
