Transcripción completa

My name is Agent Orla.

These are my partners, Oswald, Omar, and Osmerelda.

And this is us wearing cheese hats.

We travel the world investigating anything strange,

weird and especially odd.

Our job is to put things right again.

(Music)

Who do we work for? We work for, Odd Squad.

The problem with pentagurps.

This is harder than I thought.

Do you have any large flange rivets?

Nope. Go fish.

Alright, I finished my wish! Nice.

Agents, you have an incoming call from the Little O.

-There you four are. Something very odd has happened.

What strange oddness has befallen this orb or we call earth?

The entire Odd Squad mail department shut down.

Which is why I'm sending you to the Odd Squad mail

room in Omaha, Nebraska.

Any questions? -Oh, yes.

Um, how does a photon accelerate to light speed so quickly?

-A photon of light doesn't accelerate at light speed because

a photon is already travelling at light speed when it's created.

Makes sense.

Well, what are you waiting for?

Go!

-Now arriving in Omaha, Nebraska, the birthplace of corn flavoured

ice cream.

-Thank you so much for coming. My name is Agent Oyster.

And no. I don't like oysters.

I'm the mail carrier in chief of the Odd Squad mail department.

I remember you.

You delivered mail to our flying van once.

As we say in the mail department: neither rain,

nor sleet, nor flock of birds migrating south for the winter,

will stop us from delivering the mail!

Until now, follow me.

-Hey! I just finished stacking that!

-Take cover!

-What are those things?

-Pentagurps.

This morning accidentally dropped the containment unit,

and they escaped.

With pentagurps on the loose, we haven't been able to deliver

any Odd Squad mail! Like antidotes!

And gadgets! That is not good.

Worst of all, I won't be able to make

it to my tennis match later today!

I just really love tennis.

Don't worry, Oyster, we'll catch these pentagurps in no time.

I could use your help with one more thing.

A pentagurp destroyed our mail truck.

And since you have a van, could you please deliver this?

Omar and I will do it. Package delivery, ho!

Good luck, guys!

So, how many pentagurps do we need to catch?

For now, just five. -What do you mean "for now?"

-Pentagurps multiply by five every hour.

But don't worry.

Right after they got out, I set my watch to beep every

hour, so I know when they multiply.

And so far it hasn't...

(Watch beeps)

Wow, that hour just flew by.

-So, how many pentagurps are we looking for now?

Well...

If there were five pentagurps and they've each multiplied

by five, that means there are now five groups of five.

And we can count those groups by five.

Five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty five pentagurps.

We can catch them with that. This'll be easy-breezy.

A little later...

-That was harder than I thought. How many have we caught?

None, zero, zilch, nada.

-Oh, come on!

Wait a minute, if there's no mail getting out, then what's that cool

looking tube-thingy doing? That's our junk mail tube.

It's mostly just flyers for gadget cleaning polish.

-Ooh, Oona's Gadget Cleaning Polish.

My favourite brand.

Why don't you just use the junk mail tube to help

you deliver mail?

If you put more than one thing at a time in there, it'll clog.

Then nothing will get out. Not even junk mail!

The most unstoppable kind of mail!

-Oh, hi,! Can I help you?

We've come to deliver this. Delivery complete.

Farewell. Hold on.

Someone needs to sign for this to prove it was delivered.

So, can you sign for it? Good question, lemme check.

Hi there, just wondering if I'm allowed to sign

for packages... Uh-huh...

Interesting. You don't say?

Okay. Take care now.

so, can you sign for it?

No, I cannot.

It must be signed for by the person

it was sent to. Fine.

The name on the package says "Odell."

Can you call her please?

Hi there. Good, and you?

No way!

Did O'Brenda really say that?

Got it.

So, is Odell coming? Honestly, I forgot to ask.

-Well, that went better than last time.

Yep.

We caught nineteen pentagurps.

Which means we still need to catch...

Twenty, twenty one, twenty two, twenty three,

twenty four, twenty five. That makes six.

We need to catch six more pentagurps to get to twenty five.

And when we're done, I'm gonna go play with that

cool junk mail tube. And I'm going to my tennis match!

-Uh-oh!

-That means that the six pentagurps that

are still out, just multiplied!

-Take cover!

-So how many pentagurps are we dealing with now?

There are six pentagurps and they've each multiplied

by five. So that means six groups of five.

And we can count those groups by fives.

Five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty five, thirty!

So, we're looking for thirty pentagurps, but,

that's even more than before.

I'm sure Orla and Omar will be back any minute now to help us!

-Odell should be here soon.

He said that twenty one minutes ago.

Hi! I'm Odell.

You called for me? Yes.

Please sign for this package and end our horrible nightmare.

No can do. But this is your package.

No. I'm Odell with two "L"s.

That's for Odell with seventeen "L"s.

But really nice to meet you.

-Looks like our only choice is to listen to me play guitar.

No! There is another choice.

We shall find the agent named Odellllllllll.

Hi! I'm Odellllllllll.

We have a package for you. Awesome!

I was wondering why it was taking so long.

Oh boy. This isn't what I ordered.

You didn't order a multiplyinator? No, I ordered multiple pliers.

My rage runneth over. Hold on.

I think I have an idea.

There, now you have one hundred pairs of pliers,

does that work for you?

Well, now that everyone's happy, it seems like it's a good time

to listen to me play guitar.

I'm still kinda new at this. You two should probably go.

How have we only caught two pentagurps?

Cause they're bouncing around like out of control tennis balls.

-Did you just say... tennis?

Yeah?

Then let me handle this!

-There!

Yes!

Woohoo, you saved my stack!

That was amazing, Oyster.

We've caught twenty nine pentagurps.

That means we only have one left to catch.

We'd better find it fast, before it multiplies.

-I'm afraid I already found it.

-Uh-uh, that's the junk mail tube that leads outside!

If the pentagram gets out...

It'll keep multiplying 'till the world's overrun

with pentagurps!

How do we get it out of there?

Mail person Oyster, we attempted to deliver your package,

but it contained the wrong item.

Odell did not need this multiplyinator.

Maybe she didn't, but we do! Hold on, we just got here.

We have no idea what you're talking about.

Pentagurp, tube, world, multiplied.

Understood.

But, we're trying to get less pentagurps, not more!

A multiplyinator multiplies things by one hundred.

Exactly!

And what's one pentagurp multiplied by one hundred?

One group of one hundred pentagurps equals

one hundred pentagurps.

And what happens when you put more than one thing

in the junk mail tube at a time? It clogs, and nothing gets out!

-Now we can finally get back to delivering the mail.

-We couldn't have done it without your help, Oyster.

And to show our thanks, we'd like to sing you a song.

About mail!

Come on down to Omaha.

You're gonna see the sweetest job that you ever saw.

If it's a first class post you're looking for.

Let's see you shake it, break it down on the sorting floor.

We're gonna stack and pack and roll until we drop.

That's life, in the mail room.

Stamp and sort, we never wanna stop.

That's life, in the mail room.

Postcards, parcels, notes and magazines.

That's life, in the mail room. Livin' and deliverin' the dream.

That's life, in the mail room. Oh, oh, oh-oh!

In the mail room, in the mail room!

Oh, oh, oh-oh!

In the mail room, in the mail room!

Three portals down.

-There you four are.

Um, where are the other two? They're both under the weather.

Got it. Now, where was I?

Something very odd has happened. Right!

There's oddness at Shmumber Farms that needs fixing,

but since Oswald and Osmerelda are sick, I'm gonna team

you up with OSBU.

What is this OSBU of which you speak?

Odd Squad Backup Unit.

They fill in for anyone at anytime.

They're quick, they're clever and they're right behind you.

-Hi, I'm agent Oppo, and this is agent Over.

Thanks for having us. -We're just here to help.

-Great.

This is a big case, so I'll let you get to it.

Good luck!

Um, where's the exit? That way.

Sorry, still getting used to the van.

-Now arriving at Shmumber farms.

It's really quiet here. Too quiet.

It is no longer quiet. That was a close one.

Glad to see you, Odd Squad. My name is Humbert Shmumber.

I run the place.

What is going on here? That!

They're eating everything.

If we don't stop them, it'll only be a matter of time before

my farm has no more fruit. No more fruit means no more juice?

Exactly!

We supply all the fruit for Big O's juice boxes,

and we need to fly the next shipment of juice

up to her in space by the end of the day.

-Well, what else do we know about these beasts?

-Uh, they burst out of those three spots.

And they scattered shapes just like these all over the farm.

These are portal pieces to the eighteenth dimension.

No, wait.

Nineteenth.

If we can find the shapes and place them into the portal,

like a puzzle, the beasts will return home, and the portal

will close.

In the meantime, I'll try to hold them off.

Shoo! Get away from those apples!

Okay, team, looks like we're clear.

We need to all work together so we can figure this out.

Or, we could compete against each other.

What? Excuse me?

Being backup agents is cool, but now we see how cool your

van is, we wanna be front up agents.

-Front-up agents? -It sounded cooler in my head.

-How 'bout this?

If we solve the case first, we get your jobs,

and you get ours. No way.

This is no time for a compet... Challenge accepted.

What!?

Where there's a challenge, a challenge must be met.

Let the portal-piece-finding games begin!

Ugh, again, way cooler in my head. I honestly cannot believe this.

Do not worry, Omar.

They will never pull this off.

I have an idea.

The triangle goes in the tail.

-And the other two make a square. This is where they fail.

They do not possess the diamond shape.

And a square tilted on its side becomes a diamond.

Like this.

-Stand back!

-Woohoo!

Now we're gonna find the rest of the shapes!

-Yeah!

A minor setback.

There are still two more portals to go.

You know, I could get used to this, if I wasn't trying

to read.

At least we can get some chores done.

Hand me a house plant.

Okay. Here.

It stopped!

Let's get to the farm and help the others.

-Not so fast.

But, we're not under the weather anymore.

This is only the beginning.

You still have to go through all four seasons before

you get better. Here.

Take two of these, and call me when it stops snowing.

-Snow? -What can I say?

The weather can be unpredictable...

Just like life. Look at me.

I wanted to be a doctor. You are a doctor.

Right...

I meant that I wanted to be a professional go-kart racer.

Chilly.

You're also gonna need a carrot,

three pieces of coal, and a top hat.

-To help us get better? -No, to build a snowman.

Over there!

Found another one.

There is shelter over yonder!

It appears we are in some kind of...

weird gift shop.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am good without a souvenir.

Behold, a portal piece. Not so fast.

My name is Gerard, and these are all my crafts.

Listen up, Gerard... Oh, actually it's "Gerard."

I don't pronounce the second R. Gerard.

No. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard. Gerrard.

Gerrard.

Okay, you got the R part right, but you're doin' something

weird with the G. Enough with these name games.

We are Odd Squad and we need this triangle to close a portal

and send a giant goldfish back to the nineteenth dimension.

Okay, well if you want it, then you have to pay full price,

just like everyone else. Fine.

How much? A million dollars.

One million dollars? We don't have that!

We don't have that, right? We do not have that.

Okay, tell you what.

If you really want the triangle, all you have to do is make

something even more beautiful to replace it with.

Piece of cake

Nope.

No.

And... no.

I don't know what to tell you, Odd Squad.

They're all missing that certain...

eye catching quality. That's it.

It's... beautiful.

From one artiste to another...

Thank you. Thanks Gerar...

mister. It's actually Mistoir!

What cursed shape is this?

It's a parallelogram, and we don't have it.

A pair-o-what-agram?

A parallelogram is a four sided with two diagonal lines that

run parallel to each other, but never touch.

It looks like someone left a rectangle out in the sun.

All we have on us is a square and two triangles.

We're doomed. Nonsense.

Hand me the shapes.

The backups used two triangles to make a square,

then tilted it to make a diamond.

So we can combine shapes to make another shape too.

If we put the square in the middle,

and the two triangles on either end...

you get what you call the parallelogram!

We did it!

Yes! Woo!

We've made one portal, and they've made one portal,

so now we're tied.

Oh man!

They must have got the triangle shape from Gerard!

-Guess we don't need this one million dollars.

Alright.

So whoever closes the butterfly portal first, wins.

We shall close it. Not if we can help it!

I almost miss the rain. Almost.

-Listen, I'm no doctor... Yes you are.

Right! I always forget that.

Anyway, the best way to beat the weather is to make the most

of it. Make the most of it?

Yeah, like, you could sit around complaining, or...

jump right in!

Awesome!

Come in!

Yes. Found one!

-Yes! -Yes!

Found it! Yes!

Yeah!

Okay, let's start by laying them down.

Hand me the rest. That is the rest.

Move over, we'll finish this.

Hand me the parallelogram.

Once we finish this, the van is ours.

-We can't finish this.

We don't have the missing parallelogram.

Wait, then that means the competition's back on!

Over here, take cover! I found these.

Will they help? No, we need a parallelogram.

No, we need a parallelogram! -Hey, hey, hey!

-Listen, this farm has been in my family for hundreds

of years.

And no one ever combined fruit together.

Not once! That all changed when I...

um, Olala? It's a little too loud.

-Apologies. I'll play quieter.

-Anyways, one day, I accidentally mixed the apple juice

and the peach juice.

And when I tasted it, I had no idea what it was.

All I knew was that it was delicious,

and now it's my best selling juice.

We're not sure what your story means.

He wants you all to work together, like the fruit

in his fruit punch. -Exactly.

You've already been working together to fill

up the butterfly shape. He's right.

If we work together, we can close this portal.

Okay, with the fish portal, we combined triangles to make

a square, then a diamond.

And for the squirrel portal, we combined a square

and two triangles to make a parallelogram.

So maybe, just maybe, if we combine the four triangles

together, then we can fit them into the parallelogram spot.

Let's give it a shot!

-I'll cover you! Go, go, go!

One.

Two.

Three.

-Four.

We saved the farm! We did it!

Together.

Sorry we tried to take your jobs, you guys are really good at them.

You too. We like being backup agents.

Plus, we get carsick really easily, so,

not sure the van would work for us.

-Thanks for saving the farm, Odd Squad.

Looks like we can send juice to space after all.

And look! The sun's come out!

-You might even say I'm a doctor

of steel pans. Also, just a regular doctor.

Right.
