La vida es como una caja de bombones, nunca sabes lo que te va a tocar. El 6 de julio de 1994 se estrena Forrest Gump, oscarizada película dirigida por Robert Zemeckis. Junto al score original del compositor Alan Silvestri, se lanzó una banda sonora que recogía grandes clásicos de la música estadounidense y que vendería más 12 millones de copias. Esas canciones servían para acompañar los diferentes momentos de la historia de EEUU, en un viaje a veces cómico, a veces conmovedor, visto desde los recuerdos de un personaje que ya forma parte de la historia del cine.
