CHARACTERS:

Fernando de la Torre. Son of an important family in Madrid, he is a lover of life, gambling, women and endless nights. Funny and attractive, sought after by the marriageable young women of the best families, he is a consummate seducer. However, he has not been able to find his true love.

Fernando

Alejandra Prado. Adopted daughter of the guardians of the estate and protected since she was a child by Leocadia, mother of the De la Torre family. She has spent her adolescence in a school in Paris, growing up in contact with politics, and returns to Madrid with the intention of participating actively with the new government. As a woman of strong character and firm ideas, she will be a revelation for Fernando, even though he is already engaged to Mercedes and Alejandra is the sister of his best friend.

Alejandra

Mercedes León. The only daughter of an important banker, she has always maintained a close friendship with the De la Torre family. Against all odds, she has refused to formalize her engagement to all the children of good families who have asked her to do so, and she is on her way to becoming an 'old maid' with an immense inheritance. She only dreams of Fernando de la Torre, who has never thought of her as anything more than a friend, until they become engaged.
