Bernardo Valle and Mario Pastor are fathers. They both love their work. They both have teams under them and are extremely loyal people. If they met under the right circumstances, they would surely be friends. The bad news is that the circumstances are anything but right: because Mario is a cat burglar and Bernardo is the police inspector in charge of hunting him down.

And it is on this special chase that 'Cat Burglar' focuses. A series that mixes, equally: action, humor, suspense and drama, always from a realistic point of view to narrate robberies in which ingenuity and expertise prevail, and investigations full of surprising twists and turns.

They are meticulous thieves and tireless policemen.

After the death of his wife, Inspector Valle decides to move to another city with his children. As soon as he arrives at his new destination, he is entrusted with the investigation of a robbery and, although he does not know it yet, this will be the first of a series of blows committed by Mario Pastor's gang. To hunt him down, the inspector has the support of Sub-Inspector Mendoza and Sub-Inspector Cortés, with whom he will share long days and nights of work. Mario and his gang work on commission, stealing valuables, whether in museums, galleries, banks or churches. They are meticulous and never, under any circumstances, use violence. The key to their success is wit, insight, cunning, great acting skills and, above all, a lot of preparation.

CHARACTERS:

Bernardo Valle, played by Carlos Hipólito.

He is a widower who lost his wife in a fatal car accident just a year ago, so he is still trying to take over the family reins.Valle is a strong man, but he does not hide his feelings. With his children is warm, friendly and affectionate. But he draws a clear and marked line that separates his personal world from his professional life. At work, he is a completely different person. Serious, he does not lend himself to jokes, nor does he make them. He can be cold, but that does not make him a bad boss, on the contrary. He is a fair, attentive boss who knows how to anticipate the needs of his men, who immediately end up respecting him and feeling proud to work with him. Valle is a born and positive leader, capable of encouraging any team entrusted to him.

He has long been dedicated to breaking up gangs of all kinds. Although he does not disdain any element that helps him to clarify his cases, he is more of an old-fashioned detective. Reflective, deductive and with a great ability to see through people, to know who is lying to him. For a time he worked as an undercover agent in special operations, so his profile is not so different from that of the thieves in the way he acts: he is also capable of hiding under a second skin.

Mario Pastor, played José Luis García-Pérez.

Mario is a kind man, meticulous, organized, perfectionist, nice and seductive. He is a snake charmer, who has used his best weapons to successfully achieve all his purposes in life. He has been married for 17 years to the love of his life, Pilar, a beautiful journalist he met in high school.

Since he was a child, Mario has always been very skilled and, for a long time, he was a great fan of magic. One more of the many things he shared with his father, from whom he learned the trade and the vocation for theft. Mario was an only child and his mother's orphan from an early age. His mother died when he was born, which caused a great bond between father and son. He studied in good schools and finished his business studies. However, although the people around him are convinced that he works in the stock market, he never worked as such, since his father, from a very young age, introduced him to the profession he is now in: white-collar thief, that is, a thief who works without violence, with discretion, skill and class.

Mario is a detail-oriented man with a very good memory, which is essential for his work. He notices everything. He never forgets a face, much less an important date. Sometimes his head goes faster than he can keep up with... and that's why he can be disconcerting. He is capable of putting a plan into action without telling all its elements to his partners, because perhaps there is no time for it, but in his head everything is clear and well organized. He is always ahead of his team and they know it. Although his wife knows what he does, Mario keeps his children out of everything.
