MEMORY OF WATER
Miniseries - 2 x 75' - Historical Drama / Suspense
Delve into the exquisite 1920s with 'Memory of water', a captivating miniseries based on the novel by Teresa Viejo. This intriguing drama transports us to the prestigious La Isabela spa, the preferred refuge of Spanish high society.
It is the beginning of the summer of 1927 and with it the water season has just begun. At the spa, the arrival of a special client, the head of government, Miguel Primo de Rivera, is awaited.
Amada Montemayor, the daughter of the owners of the spa, returns home after two years studying in Switzerland. Her education and mentality have changed, she is no longer the girl she was, but a woman ahead of her time, who despite being engaged to an influential lawyer, falls in love with Lucas, a waiter at the spa; a young man who keeps a dark secret.
La Isabela is full, the publicity of the benefits of the waters has favored the arrival of clients from all parts of Spain, among them Ginés, a retired police commissioner. However, on the first day of the season, the expectation will be clouded when instead of the expected crystal clear water, blood begins to flow from the fountains and taps.
Ernesto, Amada's father and director of La Isabela, helped by Samuel, the spa doctor, will try to find an answer to what happened, while they must hide the truth of the facts from the rest of the guests. Commissioner Ginés, still retired, will decide to take charge of the investigation process. Unfortunately, they have little time: the arrival of Primo de Rivera is approaching, and the visit will be cancelled if what happened is made public.
While this mystery clouds the idyllic atmosphere of the spa, Amada hesitates between fighting against her feelings and following the life expected of her or letting herself go and living her love with Lucas to the fullest.
