CHARACTERS:

Don Vicente Cortázar. Strong, authoritarian and intelligent, he surprises his children by leaving his position as director and handing over the position to his first-born son, Miguel. But that is not enough reason for Vicente to stop pulling the important strings of the winery. Miguel's assassination attempt is a setback in Vicente's life. The values, initiatives and priorities of the eldest son change and are no longer welcomed by the patriarch. On a personal level, Vicente is no different. For him, the family comes first and in order to keep it together he is capable of anything, even if it means hurting his own children. The death of his granddaughter, Claudia, did not soften Vicente's heart, nor did the arrival of his wife, Rosalia.

Throughout these years he has been willing to do anything so that his family would not lose the position he has worked so hard to achieve. But Don Vicente has suffered a hard setback. Now he is the one who has lost control of the wineries, the family home and the affection of his children. With the arrival of Rosalía it seems that the times of authority and intrigue are over... or maybe not. The heir of Alejandro Cortázar will not give up so easily and will try to regain his position and his children at the usual price: whatever it takes.

Miguel Cortázar. Director of one of the most important wineries in La Rioja, Miguel has grown up among vineyards since he was a child. Ambitious, determined, capable of anything to achieve his goals, he has been the main driving force behind the family business in recent years and has been appointed director. His main objective was to place his business at the top, even if he had to go over everything and everyone's head. But playing so hard sometimes has consequences and for Miguel it was a failed assassination attempt. Because of the shooting, he loses his memory and transforms into a different man who has little to do with the old Miguel.

Miguel, as director, must handle a situation that is not favorable to him: the appearance of Paula (his ex-wife), now the wife of the new shareholder of the winery (Joaquín Belmonte), puts him on alert. He knows that Paula has returned to take revenge on the family. In addition to the problems at the winery, there are personal problems, as Miguel unexpectedly discovers a secret from the family's past, something that Vicente and Rosalía have hidden for decades and that could bring down the Cortázar empire forever.

Sofía Reverte. Sofía is an example of a self-sacrificing woman. Married from a very young age to Don Jesús, she has known how to be her husband's support, raise their children and work to keep the family's winery going. Understanding, loving and at the same time tenacious and inflexible, she has always been the one who has kept the family together and has smoothed out the conflicts caused by the strong temperament of her husband and children. For her, what is important is the family and there is no room for rancor among family members. Direct, clear and very sincere, Sofia will do everything in her power to make it happen, especially now that problems keep knocking at her door.

The family's economic situation worsens due to Raul's actions and Sofia's courage will be exemplary when it comes to making decisions that will help her family to move forward. To make matters worse, someone from the past comes back into her life and she discovers that many things were not as she had always thought...

Lucía Reverte. Hard-working, determined and with a strong character. Lucía left Lasiesta to go to the United States to work as a journalist. Her departure was a turning point in her relationship with her father, who did not understand why she did not want to stay and take charge of the family winery. After much effort, and when Lucia was finally about to get the job of her life: a job at one of the most important newspapers in New York, she suddenly has to return to face her old ghosts. The return makes her life change completely and she decides to take the reins of the winery. Lucia's beauty and personality do not go unnoticed by the Cortázars. Miguel and Raul intermittently cross her life, for better and for worse.

But she suffers the greatest betrayal with Raúl. When she was about to marry him, Lucia is arrested. Raul, the real culprit, flees. Lucia is accused of a series of crimes that have to do with the administration of the Reverte winery, for which she is solely responsible. Now, she must prove her innocence while witnessing how the family business is going through the worst economic times in its history. What is clear is that she will not be able to face all these problems alone, and even less so now that destiny gives her news that could change her future forever.
