4,807 people found work in July in the Canary Islands
Most hirings were made in the service sector. 232,000 people are still seeking employment in the archipelago.

Unemployment figures decreased in July; to a greater extent in Las Palmas than in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. And it is the service sector that is creating the most employment. This sector employs more women than men. Hernández, however, is asking the central government to repeal the work reform, which he assures has created a section of poor workers.
