Magda Escudero seems to have it all. Married to Mexican magnate Alejandro Guzman, with three children who adore her and owner of a luxurious mansion located in one of the most exclusive areas of Mexico City. No one could imagine that the life of this ex-Spanish model is far from being a dream.

Because of her husband's dirty business dealings and unpaid bills, Magda and her children live day to day under constant threat of death. And so, one day when Alejandro is away to close a business deal in Spain, Magda and her children are kidnapped by a violent organized gang. In the blink of an eye, the protagonist loses everything and is forced to fight for her life and the lives of her family.

Far from home and without resources, the family embarks on a relentless and breathtaking race for freedom, in a permanent extreme situation that gives them no rest and pushes them to fight, minute by minute, for the only thing they have left: their lives.

CHARACTERS:

MAGDA is a woman marked by fear and guilt. Whatever it was that made her fall in love with Alejandro, today there is nothing left of that initial passion. Fear - of losing everything, of proving her mother right, of revealing her father's true face to her children - has been Magda's companion throughout the years of her marriage. That is why the kidnapping that separates her from her husband is for her the closest thing to a leap into the void: terrifying and liberating at the same time.

ALEJANDRO is Magda's husband, a conqueror of a piece: a businessman used to getting what he wants whatever it takes. Controlling, domineering and jealous, he does not conceive of love except in a possessive and authoritarian way. For him, who considers his family the most sacred thing in his life, the kidnapping is a direct attack on his person that cannot go unpunished.

PAULINA is the eldest daughter of the Guzmán family. A teenager used to having it all and always being the center of attention. Paulina has inherited Alejandro's authoritarian character and the vain side that Magda once had. Of the three siblings, she is the most concerned about always getting her own way. She is Rubén's twin.

Unlike his twin sister, RUBÉN is discreet, silent, introverted, and has always been a mystery to his own family. The mystery of his personality has been accentuated even more since he became practically deaf when he was only 10 years old.

CLAUDIA, the youngest of the Guzmans, is intelligent, observant, independent and, of the three siblings, the most down-to-earth. Like her father, she is extremely competitive. Despite being at a critical age, and unlike her sister, Claudia does not include romantic relationships among her main concerns. She is practical and realistic in her outlook.

TOBIAS is a mercenary of mercenaries, an opportunist willing to do anything for anyone without asking too many questions. A rogue and a scoundrel, this former acrobat with a thousand trades under his belt - and the occasional blemish on his record - doesn't want any trouble and only wants to get the job done so he can make a good profit.

ESPERANZA is the matriarch of the Guzman clan. This Spanish émigré to Mexico is an expert manipulator who is always spinning webs and pulling strings. Even more than her son, Esperanza sees people as business, judging them according to the profit that can be made from them. In addition, Esperanza is a jealous and possessive mother who has never accepted Magda as part of the family.

JOSÉ K is the Guzmáns' “jack-of-all-trades”. An impenetrable enigma, and everything about him has the aura of mystery that represents the initial of his last name. Whether as an investigator, escort or hitman, this specialist of innumerable talents always carries out his mission discreetly and meticulously, making dirty work a true art. But this could be much more than a simple assignment for K.

ISABEL is Alejandro's hotel public relations and the last on his list of lovers. Like Magda in her day, this young woman was seduced by the Mexican's charms and became convinced of the sincerity of his words. Although she still feels affection for him, something inside Isabel tells her that he has only been a toy, that the man she fell in love with does not exist, and that the relationship must come to an end.

SIMON hides an ex-cop turned into private investigator and head of clandestine operations. This veteran lawman decided to go freelance when he discovered that working for the wealthy was far more lucrative than protecting the public interest.
