XVI Century. Historian Lara Cabanes investigates the murder in strange circumstances of Antonio de Román, a professor and Augustinian friar, teacher of a group of students led by the novice Luis de León. Cabanes immerses herself in a time when the University of Salamanca was a place of intense debates and differences between professors and religious orders, especially between Augustinians and Dominicans, which could be settled in the courts of the Holy Inquisition.
