During the 1940s, Huelva becomes a key point in World War II. Sympathizers of both sides use its streets to weave a relentless espionage network.

The protagonist, Lucía, is a 25-year-old girl who finds herself in the middle of a whirlwind of events when she is hired as a secretary in an English mining company. There she meets Peter, the enigmatic manager of the company with a mysterious past who drags her into an adventure full of dangers and difficult choices. At a time when neutrality is an impossible luxury, Lucia will be forced to take sides in a war that will change her life forever. Immerse yourself in this captivating story where love, betrayal, espionage and sacrifice intertwine amidst the chaos of war.

CHARACTERS:

Lucía Valbuena: Our protagonist is a 25-year-old girl from Huelva. she is a modern girl ahead of her time, hardworking, diligent and simple, but very brave. Over time, she discovers that she is attracted to adventure and action, seeks to break with the monotony of her daily life and wants to live exciting experiences. She is influenced by the English culture that surrounds her home in the English Quarter and has a relationship with Francisco. Both are in love and excited, but Peter's arrival will complicate her personal and professional life.

Peter Smith: Manager of the Mining Company. He is an attractive and interesting Englishman, a bit introverted and reserved because of his dark past as a spy. He is a man marked by the tormenting memories that haunt him and he tries to forget. He arrived in Huelva looking for a chance to start over and, after an encounter with Lucía, feelings that he thought were buried awaken in him, but the shadows of his past get in the way of his relationship with her.

Francisco Martín: He is the son of a powerful family and Governor of Huelva, as well as Lucía's boyfriend. He has a traditional mentality, rooted in conservatism and Francoism. Influenced by his family in terms of values and politics, especially by his father, he experiences an internal conflict when he discovers that his principles clash with his feelings for Lucía, whom he loves intensely. His goal is to end up working in Madrid, however, he has a complex situation, as he moves between two waters: the English and the Germans.

Miss Parker: Head of personnel of the company, she is a British woman that everyone respects, she is in charge of leading, with elegance and exceptional class, all the secretaries. She hides a secret, because she is a covert spy for the English side, committed to World War II after her experience in the Great War.
