EDELWEISS

DOCUMENTARY - 4 x 35' - True Cime

Edelweiss was a sect that destroyed the lives of hundreds of children.

Between 1971 and 1984 it recruited boys between 10 and 13 years of age all over Spain, posing as a mountain group. Its leader, Eduardo Gonzalez Arenas, "Eddie", had good political contacts and belonged to the Madrid bourgeoisie. While taking the boys away from their families, he presented himself to them as a prince from another planet who had come to Earth to save them from a worldwide cataclysm. Through illusionist tricks and programming techniques he controlled the children to carry out his dark plans, reaching limits that no one could have imagined. Edelweiss became a nightmare for the children who were captured and produced a great commotion in Spanish society.

A destructive sect that was the biggest trial in our history for the corruption of minors and that had a tragic end.
