Riders

A 'rider' is a food and product delivery person (usually on a bicycle) who works for digital platforms. Although rider in English means cyclist or motorcyclist, in Spain it refers to any worker who performs these functions, regardless of the type of transport they use.

RIDERS

YOUTH SERIES – 7 x 20’ – Thriller / Comedy

Axel dreams of becoming a video game programmer, but he has to work as a rider to pay off his brother's gambling debts. He starts in the company replacing a young rider who passed away...and hates the job. Until drug dealers force him to use his deliveries as an alibi to deal drugs. Then he hates it even more.

CHARACTERS:

AXEL (21). He is a good student, but, just in the last year of college, he has to take a job as a rider because his brother has problems with sports betting. He hates this job.

CLAU (19) She was Samu's best friend. The deceased rider. Ok, she was in love with him. She doesn't accept that it was an accident. She plans to investigate until she finds out the truth. At the beginning, she won't accept Axel, he will never look like her deceased friend. The ideal rider.

LUK (23) Pimp, competitive. Now that Samu is not here, he is the alpha rider. Although at the beginning he is Axel's friend, it won't be long before he distrusts him.

NANCY (36) She is nice, friendly. This is one of the three jobs she has to survive in Spain. She will welcome Axel from the beginning, after all, she has seen many riders pass through. She will be his confidant, the one who will encourage him to continue and will live funny misunderstandings with him.
