Anastasiya Vinnikova llega a Eurovisión 2011 con "I love Belarus"

Eurovisión 2011 - 2ª semifinal - Bielorrusia

La televisión pública de Bielorrusia, la BTRC, decidió de manera interna que Anastasiya Vinnikova fuera la próxima representante del país en el Festival de Eurovisión con "I love Belarus", una canción cuya letra rememora los tiempos de la URSS.

Cuando se presentó públicamente la canción de Bielorrusia, el título de esta era "Born In Byelorussia". Muchos denunciaron que tanto el título como la letra tenían cierta connotación política y la BTRC tuvo que cambiar el título por el actual "I am belarusian" y porsteriormentes por "I love Belarus".

Anastasiya Vinnikova actuará en la segunda semifinal  de Eurovisión, que tendrá lugar el 12 de mayo. Si consigue pasar a la  gran final del Festival sería todo un logro para su país, ya que desde  su debut en 2004 tan solo lo ha conseguido en dos ocasiones: en 2007 con  Dmitry Koldun, que obtuvo el sexto puesto, y el pasado año con el grupo 3+2, que finalmente quedó en 24ª posición con la canción "Butterflies".
