Suiza quiere brillar en Eurovisión con Mélanie René

Eurovisión 2015 - Semifinal 2- Suiza: Mélanie René canta `Time To Shine'

Mélanie René ya tiene el billete para representar a Suiza en Eurovisión. La joven tratará de hacer honor al título de su canción, "Time To Shine" (La hora de brillar), en la segunda semifinal del 21 de mayo en Viena.

Mélani René, de 24 años, nació en Ginebra pero es de origen mauritano. En las raíces de su familia también está la música y ella comenzó a amarla desde muy pequeña. En 2010, decidió marcharse a Reino Unido para completar su formación. Allí creo una banda: French Konnection, que más tarde pasaría a llamarse The Motherfunkers.

"Quiero llevar la felicidad a todo el mundo"

Ahora René piensa en el futuro: "Voy a seguir dando lo mejor de mí, trabajando día y noche si es necesario. Quiero llevar felicidad a la gente y entretener al público con mi canción y mi actuación”, ha dicho sobre su participación en Eurovisión.

Con Time To Shine, Mélanie René ha logrado imponerse en una gala televisada en la que competían 6 finalistas. La joven ha conseguido tanto el favor de un jurado experto como de los espectadores, que participaron a través del televoto.

La propia René ha compuesto este tema, un mediotiempo con toques étnicos y arreglos de rhythm and blues.
