Azerbaiyán apuesta por Elnur Huseynov, un viejo conocido de Eurovisión

Eurovisión 2015 - Azerbaiyan: Elnur Huseynov canta 'Hour of the wolf'

Elnur Huseynov representa por segunda vez a Azerbaiyán en Eurovisión. Lo hará con el tema "Hour of the wolf" (La hora del lobo), una balada épica de estribillo muy pegadizo con la que luchará por conseguir el segundo triunfo para Azerbaiyán en el Festival.

Tras un proceso de selección interna, la cadena de televisión ITV eligió a Elnur Huseynov como su candidato para Eurovision 2015. Su elección es una apuesta sobre seguro, ya que Elnur (Asjabad, Turkmenistán, 1987) compitió en Eurovisión 2008 como integrante del dúo Elnur & Samur. La pareja quedó en octavo lugar en la Gran Final de Belgrado con la canción "Day after day".

Ahora Elnur regresa al escenario eurovisivo en solitario, con menos plumas, sin falsetes y con una canción "que tiene un mensaje poderoso: cada corazón merece una lucha y nunca debemos abandonar. Debemos pelear por nuestra felicidad y un futuro mejor", tal y como explica el cantante.

Muy conocido también en Turquía

Desde que participó en Eurovisión 2008, Elnur ha estado trabajando duro en su carrera musical. Durante una temporada fue residente en la Academia Estatal de Opera y Ballet de Azerbaiyán. También ha formado parte del elenco de Phoebus, versión del famoso musical Notre-Dame de París.

En 2015, Elnur ganó la cuarta temporada de la versión turca de La Voz. En la batalla final logró un record en la historia del televoto del programa, con más de un millón de votos.
