'Chain of Lights', el tema de San Marino para Eurovisión

• Michele y Anita interpretarán el tema en la segunda semifinal
• Es el dúo más joven de la historia del Festival
• Ambos han participado en Eurovisión Junior

Eurovisión 2015 - Semifinal 2- San Marino: Anita Simoncini y Michele Perniola cantan `Chain of Lights'

San Marino participa en Eurovisión 2015 con "Chain of Lights" (Cadena de Luces). Sus intérpretes serán Anita Simoncini y Michele Perniola, que defenderá este medio tiempo sobre el escenario eurovisivo el el próximo 21 de mayo, en la segunda semifinal.

De este modo toman el relevo de la cantante Valentina Monetta, que durante tres años consecutivos ha representado a San Marino en Eurovisión (en 2012, 2013 y 2014), logrando el año pasado llevar por primera vez a San Marino hasta la final del Festival.

Dos jóvenes estrellas de Eurovisión Junior

La cadena pública SMRTV eligió por selección interna a los representantes de San Marino en Eurovisión. Michele (1998) y Anita (1999) se dieron a conocer como participantes en Eurovisión Junior en años anteriores. Ahora unen sus talentos para convertirse en el dúo más joven en participar en la historia del Festival.

Anita establecerá además un nuevo récord: será la primera y única artista en participar en Eurovisión Junior y en el Festival de Eurovisión en la misma temporada. La joven formaba parte del grupo The Peppermints, la girl band que acaba de representar a San Marino en la edición Junior. Sobre "Chain of Lights", el tema que interpretarán el 21 de mayo, destaca su mensaje: "Cuando canto la frase 'Sólo tenemos una vida así que hagamos que nuestros sueños sobrevivan' realmente lo siento porque creo que no hay nada más importante que perseguir nuestros sueños. Abandonar no es una opción. Espero que nuestras luces iluminen la oscuridad de las almas y las mentes y restauren la fe y la esperanza en el resto del mundo".

Por su parte, Michele, que nació en Italia, ganó en 2012 el programa de la Rai 1 dedicado jóvenes talentos llamado Ti lascio una canzone. Un año más tarde, participó en Eurovisión Junior en Kiev. Allí representó a San Marino con la canción "O-o-O Sole Intorno a Me".

"Estuve feliz de tener la oportunidad de participar en Eurovisión Junior en 2013, pero ahora estoy mucho más feliz de ser parte de Eurovisión y de representar a San Marino en la mayor competición musical de Europa", ha afirmado Michele.

La música de Chain of Lights ha sido compuesta por Ralph Siegel, uno de los compositores más conocidos de Eurovisión. De hecho, ésta es la vigésimo tercera canción que firma para el Festival. Por su parte, John O’flynn es el autor de la letra.
